About Elio
Elio is a desexed male domestic short hair available for adoption in Ellalong (Hunter Valley, NSW).
Elio has a greeting worth coming home for. He walks over, places his head firmly against you and lets his expressive tail add its own enthusiastic commentary.
This affectionate cat enjoys being part of the household. He finds his people, shares their space and settles close without needing to turn every moment into an event.
A little about Elio:
🐾 Loves greeting his people with a confident headbutt
🐾 Adores tracking warm sun patches through the house
🐾 Lights up when playtime gives his active side a job
🐾 Builds connection through steady, nearby companionship
🐾 Loves an indoor home where his routines remain calm and familiar
Elio has a talent for making ordinary company feel complete. He can share a room while you read, work or watch television, content to know where you are and take part in the quiet rhythm.
His mornings have a practical agenda. Find the sun, inspect the available resting places and settle somewhere warm.
Later, a play session brings out his lively side. His tail keeps moving, the toy gets his full attention, and the peaceful sunseeker becomes an engaged participant.
He is calm enough to spend the day resting nearby and playful enough to make shared activity part of the household.
When someone new arrives, Elio watches the room and follows the conversation from his chosen spot. Give him the freedom to make the first move and you’ll find a headbutt becomes his introduction.
A calm adult home suits his companionable nature. He will fit with a guardian who enjoys cats that seek human company and understands the small signals that make feline affection meaningful.
Elio is a people-focused cat, and a home without other animals gives that side of him room to flourish. His headbutts, games and steady presence can all settle around his relationship with his guardian.
He is an indoor cat and will enjoy warm windows, comfortable resting places and regular interactive play.
Elio previously had surgery for urinary crystals. He has recovered and remains stable and comfortable with specialised urinary-care food.
His patient history and established dietary information can be shared with his new veterinary team.
Life with Elio looks like a cat following a stripe of sunlight across the room, checking that his person is nearby and arriving with a headbutt when the day settles.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
