North Face, affectionately known as Marley, should be spending his golden years in a cosy home, with a soft bed and someone who loves him. Instead, this sweet senior is waiting for his next chance. 💔

Staff describe him as lovely, friendly and incredibly tolerant. He patiently coped with extensive grooming and bathing, even wagging his tail along the way. Now he needs someone willing to offer that same kindness back. ❤️

🏡 His home requirements:

• A single-dog household — Marley must be your only dog.
• Patient, understanding carers who can support his ongoing veterinary needs.
• Foster homes must be in Victoria.
• Suitability with cats and children is unknown.

🩺 Marley’s medical needs include:

• Suspected underactive thyroid — his levels are very low, and the vet needs to confirm his diagnosis and treatment plan. He may need ongoing medication and blood tests.
• Mild anaemia requiring monitoring.
• Improving skin and ear problems that may need ongoing care.
• A slowly healing wound on his right hind leg/paw.
• Dental disease requiring a future dental procedure.
• Excess weight, mild joint stiffness and skin lumps needing monitoring.
• Regular grooming to keep him comfortable.

Despite these concerns, the vet considered his quality of life good. His known care needs will be discussed openly with suitable applicants.

His carer will need to help with vet appointments, give any prescribed medication and keep us updated on his progress.
