Little Bubbles needs more than a place to stay — she needs someone willing to stand beside her while we work towards answers about her health. 🥺❤️

Since July, Bubbles has experienced recurrent urinary problems, including frequent urination, straining and urine leakage. She has received several courses of antibiotics, and one urine culture confirmed an E. coli infection. Although treatment has helped at times, her symptoms keep returning. 💔

Her vets suspect there may be an underlying abnormality in her urinary system, possibly something she was born with. The cause has not yet been confirmed.

🩺 An abdominal CT scan has been recommended to investigate her kidneys, bladder and the tubes carrying urine between them. Depending on the findings, she may need specialist assessment and surgery. Her treatment needs and longer-term outlook remain uncertain.

🏡 We need a patient, understanding carer who can:

• Manage urinary accidents kindly, without punishment.
• Provide a comfortable home and help keep her clean and dry.
• Monitor her urinary symptoms and keep us updated.
• Give medication as prescribed and help her attend vet appointments.
• Support her through investigations and any treatment or recovery.
• Provide the gentle guidance and training every puppy needs.

📍 Foster homes must be in Victoria.
🐶🐱👧 Suitability with other dogs, cats and children will need to be discussed with applicants.

💞 We also need help funding Bubbles’ veterinary care. The estimated CT cost is $2,500–$4,000. If surgery is needed, specialist surgery and recovery could potentially cost a further $6,000–$8,500, depending on the findings and treatment required.

Further testing may identify a treatable cause, but surgery is not guaranteed to resolve her problems. Every decision will centre on Bubbles’ comfort, welfare and quality of life.
