About Stella & Flash - Bonded pair female & male
Stella and Flash are a delightful bonded duo of Miniature Schnauzers who have settled beautifully into foster care and are now ready to find a calm, loving permanent home together. They are affectionate, people‑focused companions who adore curling up on the couch, following their humans around the house, and simply being part of daily life.
These two have the classic Schnauzer charm — clever, loyal, expressive, and full of personality. They thrive on routine, companionship, and gentle guidance.
🌟 Their Personalities:
Flash is a sweet, steady boy who walks beautifully on lead and loves his toys. He’s responsive, obedient, and enjoys being close to his people. Flash has mild skin sensitivities that are improving with good nutrition and medicated baths.
Stella is The Sensitive Soul. Affectionate, devoted, and deeply bonded to Flash. She relies on him for comfort and companionship and can pull slightly on lead, but she listens well and settles quickly. She loves grooming Flash and staying close to her humans, especially during storms. Her gentle nature makes her a beautiful companion for a calm household.
💛 Temperament & Behaviour:
Stella and Flash are gentle, people‑oriented dogs who enjoy spending time with adults and children 12+. They may vocalise briefly (like most schnauzers) when encountering something new, but they settle quickly once they realise there’s no threat.
They have good basic obedience, respond well to direction, and show strong potential for further training. Their recall is reliable at home and in the yard, though not yet tested in high‑distraction environments. They travel well in the car and enjoy yard play, quiet walks, and the occasional beach or park outing.
🏡 Ideal Home:
Stella & Flash are seeking a calm, stable home where they can stay together and continue building confidence.
Essential Requirements: No other dogs, cats, or small pets, secure fencing, indoor/outdoor access.
Highly Beneficial: Someone home more often than not with interest in ongoing training to get the best out of these dogs. Low‑stimulation walking routes.
Previous Miniature Schnauzer experience well regarded!
They are best suited to a quieter home that enjoys companionship, gentle routines, and the joy of two devoted dogs who bring double the love.
🐶 Socialisation Notes:
Limited socialisation with other dogs.
Not suitable for homes with cats.
Stella seeks comfort during storms.
Both may bark at sirens.
With patient guidance and controlled exposure, they have the potential to grow in confidence around other animals.

Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions. Recently vaccinated and on monthly flea/tick/heartworm chews. Stella is due a dental, currently booked for end of October (at SRQ's expense). Flash has a mild skin condition, which is improving with a more appropriate diet and supplements.
Insured until recently. Born May 2019 Stella and Flash Sept 2019.
