About Chich
Chich is a male Domestic Short Hair available for adoption in Hoppers Crossing (Melbourne, Victoria).
Chich is a cat who leads with affection. He's endlessly curious about the people around him, generous with a head bump, and always happy to settle in close.
New people don't faze him. He'll give them a curious once-over, then lean straight in for a cuddle.
Chich shares his story with his litter sister, Tiger. Where Chich greets the world head first, Tiger has her own pull: she picks her moment, then arrives with a soft meow that tells you you've been chosen.
Chich and Tiger would love to find a home together, and each can also be adopted on their own. Meet Tiger here.
Together, they suit a home with a gentle, everyday pace, especially someone who works from home. Chich will nap beside the desk, Tiger will claim the couch, and the day ticks along quietly around them.
A little about Chich:
🐾 Adores a head bump, his go-to hello for anyone he trusts
🐾 Lights up the moment the cat fishing rod comes out
🐾 Loves a Churu treat more than almost anything
🐾 Loves napping beside the desk while his person works
🐾 Melts hearts with a deep, thoughtful stare
Chich's days have an easy rhythm. He wakes up full of love, has a little run and play, then wanders through his morning before settling into his nap spot.
He's playful enough to make a game of the fishing rod and calm enough to doze the afternoon away.
His affection is constant and easy to read. A long, curious look while he gets to know you. A spot claimed close by, just to be near. A nap within arm's reach whenever you're working.
He's social through and through, happy to meet visitors and keen to be part of whatever's going on.
A calm home where he's the only cat, or shares it with Tiger, is where his big heart has room to land.
Chich gets on well with the dogs he knows, and both cats have shared a home with a dog before, so a calm, cat-friendly dog is no obstacle.
He'll suit a guardian who enjoys a cat at their elbow and doesn't mind a little company at the keyboard.
A calm, steady introduction to his new home suits him well. Give him space to get his bearings and you'll find him back at your side.
Picture a working day with Chich curled up beside your desk, opening one eye whenever you reach for your coffee. Then an evening where the fishing rod comes out, he's off across the room, and he trots back for a head bump to say thanks.
Chich is all heart and good company, and he's ready to bring that warmth into a calm home, ideally with Tiger by his side.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
