About Freckle
Freckle is a male cat available for adoption in Melbourne (Melbourne, Victoria).
Freckle is an adventurous, curious cat who likes to be wherever you are.
He'll follow you from room to room to see what you're up to, and he's genuinely glad of your company.
Freckle shares his home with Boo, and the two are good to each other.
Freckle and Boo are looking for a home together. Meet Boo here.
A little about Freckle:
🐾 Follows you around to see everything you're doing
🐾 Likes to "own" things by lying on them, like a piece of paper or your laptop
🐾 Sniffs all of your belongings before he says hello
🐾 Snoozes high up in his ivory tower cat stand
🐾 Zoomies are a favourite part of his day
Freckle's day has an easy rhythm. Eat, cuddle, sleep, play, then a bit more cuddling.
When you come home, he'll be at the door to greet you. It's a small ritual, and it says a lot about how much he enjoys having his people around.
He shows affection by sitting next to you, or on you, for pats. Or he'll invite you into a game with a toy.
Whatever you're doing, he'd like to be part of it. Folding washing, working at your desk or making a cuppa, Freckle will be close by to supervise.
Every new bag that comes through the door is worth a good sniff, and he takes his inspections seriously.
Freckle is a calm, friendly cat with a fun side, and he's low-maintenance in the best way.
With new people, Freckle takes a thoughtful approach. He gets the lay of the land first, sniffing your bag or belongings, and then eases in at his own pace.
Once he's comfortable, he's happy to engage and loves a pat.
Freckle would suit an indoor home, and apartment living would suit him well.
A guardian who is home more often than not will get the most out of his company. He'd enjoy a household with time for play, including children aged six to twelve.
A tall cat stand and a few favourite toys will give him everything he enjoys.
Picture opening the front door and finding Freckle waiting for you. Later, he's stretched across the papers on your desk, claiming them as his own.
Or an evening on the couch with him beside you, asking for pats, until the zoomies kick in.
Freckle is a friendly, curious companion who's ready for a guardian that enjoys a cat with plenty of personality.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
