About Carmie
Carmie is a female cat available for adoption in Chipping Norton (Sydney, New South Wales).
Carmie is a gentle, introverted cat with soft purrs and the looks of an oil painting, with a beautiful print to match.
She and her sister Pixie move through life side by side, sharing naps and a tower. Their bond is the heart of who they are, and the right home joins something that already exists.
They suit a calm household where days are quiet and evenings are soft, with a guardian who is home more often than not.
Carmie and Pixie are looking for a home together. Meet Pixie here.
A little about Carmie:
🐾 Adores a wet churu treat
🐾 Loves unpacking her toy basket
🐾 Sleeps like a hibernating bear, then plays with her toys after dark
🐾 Accepts pats and chin scritches from her tower or bed
🐾 Gets on well with the other cats in her home
Carmie's days are mostly sleep, tucked up in the tower beside her sister. When night comes, the toys come out.
Her affection comes in soft purrs and chin scritches, offered from the places she feels safest. She's at her most relaxed when she can choose to come to you.
With new people, she stays in her safe spot and accepts a treat and a pat from there. Give her the space to set her own pace and you'll find she shows you more.
Carmie suits a calm indoor home with a guardian who appreciates a shy, gentle cat. Apartment living suits her well, and children aged six to twelve would make good company.
A home without resident dogs gives her quiet rooms to bloom in.
Picture a calm afternoon: Carmie and Pixie asleep in the tower, one of them stirring to lean into your hand for a chin scritch.
Carmie and Pixie are ready. The tower naps, the soft purrs, the toy basket unpacked after dark.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
