About Pixie
Pixie is a female cat available for adoption in Chipping Norton (Sydney, New South Wales).
Pixie is a sweet, affectionate cat with love to give and a quiet way of asking for yours. Her meows are silent, like a mime, or so soft they're almost a squeak.
She and her sister Carmie belong together. Their bond is part of who they each are, and the right home joins something that already exists.
They suit a household with an easy, unhurried rhythm, where there's room for two sisters to nap, groom and play after dark.
Pixie and Carmie are looking for a home together. Meet Carmie here.
A little about Pixie:
🐾 Loves rolling over sideways for belly rubs
🐾 Adores head and neck scritches
🐾 Leans her head into your hand for pats
🐾 Melts hearts with a little drool when she's extra happy and purring
🐾 Lights up for wet food and wet churu treats
Pixie sleeps around 11 to 13 hours a day. Before the afternoon nap she grooms her sister, then the two settle by the window on top of their tower.
At night, you may hear them playing with their toys.
Pixie shows her love by leaning in, with a silent meow when she'd like food or attention.
When someone new arrives, Pixie hides. Quiet encouragement and the offer of a treat help her come out.
Pixie suits a calm indoor home with a guardian who is home more often than not and enjoys a gentle, affectionate cat. Guardians of any age would be a lovely match, from young adults to retirees, in an adult household or one with children aged six to twelve.
Apartment living suits her well, and a home without resident dogs gives her the calm to bloom.
Picture a silent meow from the top of the tower, a wet food treat to answer it, and then Pixie rolling over for belly rubs.
Pixie is that cat. Shy, loving and ready, with her sister beside her.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
