Beautiful Cole is searching for a committed foster-to-adopt home where he can continue learning, growing and becoming the incredible dog we know he can be. ❤️

At only six months old, Cole is already showing just how clever, affectionate and full of personality he is. Being part Cattle Dog, smart may as well be his middle name! 🧠🐶

Cole is playful, friendly and eager to learn. He has already mastered “sit pretty,” is working hard on “sit” and “stay,” and “lie down” is next on his training list—although he isn’t entirely convinced about that one just yet! 😂

He absolutely loves playing with other dogs. Like many young Cattle Dogs, he can bring some enthusiastic herding-style nipping into his play, so he would benefit from a confident, well-socialised resident dog who can help teach him appropriate manners and show him the ropes.

Cole is still in “starvation mode” from his past and can sometimes be protective of his food. He will need to be fed separately and supported with patience, structure and positive training while he learns that he will never go hungry again.

He is curious about cats but has been friendly with them. As always, continued supervision and careful introductions would be important.

Cole is toilet trained when he has access to a doggy door and is also crate trained. He happily sleeps in his crate with the door left open, although he also enjoys sleeping independently when he chooses.

He has recently discovered his voice and likes to alert his humans when someone is at the door. He can also be quite vocal with the neighbouring dog, so his new family will need to continue working on calm boundaries around barking.

Cole is wonderfully good at entertaining himself with a toy 🧸, but he is also the definition of a shadow dog. He loves following his humans everywhere—usually so closely that you may find yourself constantly tripping over him! He enjoys his independence at bedtime but is always happy to curl up for a cuddle, too. ❤️

Cole needs someone who understands that a clever young puppy requires consistency, patience, enrichment and ongoing training. In return, you will get a loyal, hilarious and loving little companion who wants nothing more than to be involved in everything you do.

He doesn’t need perfection.

He needs someone who can look at this clever, cheeky little puppy and say:
