Adoption information
About Chinnie
Chinnie is a desexed female domestic short hair cat available for adoption in Chipping Norton, NSW.
Chinnie is a placid, quietly affectionate cat with a purr so loud you'll hear it before you see her.
She's food and treat driven through and through, gentle by nature, and happiest curled up somewhere cosy with her people close by. Guardians describe her as a genuine couch potato: content to spend an afternoon in a sunny spot, low-maintenance, and easy company.
Chinnie is bonded to her sister Pipette, and their guardians would love to see the two adopted together. You can view Pipette's listing here: https://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/1208601.
A little about Chinnie:
🐾 Her purr genuinely carries: guardians describe hearing it from the next room
🐾 She's easily won over with a churu wet treat, even when she's feeling a little unsure
🐾 She gets along wonderfully with the resident adult cats in her current home
🐾 She's a little more independent than her sister Pipette, bringing a nice balance to their bond
🐾 Her gorgeous tortoiseshell coat and compact "dumpling" size make her instantly recognisable
Chinnie's days revolve around sunny spots, wet meals, and playtime with Pipette. She wrestles and chases her sister as often as she likes, and enjoys the odd solo session with a ball or bell toy too. She's an introvert at heart, happiest with a settled routine and familiar company rather than a busy household.
With familiar people, she's a purr machine that broadcasts her affection loud and clear the moment she's comfortable, even if she's still working out how to properly ask for a pat. New people simply need a little patience and a churu treat, and she'll come around at her own pace.
Chinnie would flourish in a calm household with an experienced guardian who's home often and has time for her. She gets along beautifully with other cats, so a home with feline friends already in it would suit her well, and apartment living suits her relaxed, low-key nature just fine.
Chinnie and Pipette settle in fastest together. The sisters draw confidence from each other in new situations, which makes their bond a real asset in a new home rather than something to work around.
Picture a quiet afternoon with Chinnie sunbathing in her favourite window spot, a churu treat within reach, and Pipette curled up close by for company. Evenings bring more of the same: cosy corners, gentle purring, and the occasional playful chase with her sister.
Chinnie and Pipette are ready for a home that welcomes them as a pair: two gentle, treat-loving sisters who bring out the best in each other.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
