This handsome 5-year-old Jack Russell Terrier cross is a sweet, affectionate boy who forms incredibly strong bonds with his people. He thrives on companionship and simply wants to be involved in whatever you’re doing. Whether it’s heading out for a walk, relaxing on the couch or following you from room to room, Pepi is happiest when he’s by your side.

Like many terriers, Pepi enjoys his little bursts of energy and loves getting out to explore, but he’s also a wonderfully calm and placid dog who is more than happy to settle down and enjoy a quiet afternoon with his family.

Pepi isn’t particularly interested in toys, especially squeaky ones, but he absolutely loves his Kong and tasty treats.

🏡 Home Life

Pepi settled into foster care beautifully. While he had a few toileting accidents during his first few days due to the stress of moving, he quickly adjusted and now happily toilets outside.

He sleeps soundly in his crate overnight after a final toilet break before bed and enjoys having a little background household noise to help him relax.

Pepi has also shown that he doesn’t enjoy water or being splashed. While he found professional grooming and bathing quite stressful, he remained non-aggressive throughout and handled the experience as best he could.

👧 Children

Pepi has spent time around children aged 8 years and older and has always been calm, gentle and affectionate. Although he hasn’t been tested with younger children, he may do well with respectful introductions and appropriate supervision.

🐶 Other Dogs & 🐱 Cats

Pepi has calmly passed both dogs and cats while out on walks without showing any signs of aggression or reactivity. As he hasn’t lived with either, any introductions should be slow, positive and carefully managed.

⏰ Being Home Alone

Pepi loves being with his people and is still learning that it’s okay to be left alone for short periods. He can become unsettled when left, so he’s looking for a home where someone is around for much of the day and is committed to gradually building his confidence through positive training.
