🐾 Meet Maisie (D260351) a beautiful 1-year-old Border Collie X looking for a special adopter who can help her continue her journey. 💕 This sweet girl has made incredible progress while in our care and is now ready to find a patient, understanding home where she can keep building her confidence at her own pace.
Maisie is a very loyal dog who forms strong bonds with her people. Once she trusts you, she'll happily follow you from room to room and love nothing more than spending time with her favourite person. 🥰🐾 She adores pats and affection and is incredibly rewarding to watch as her confidence grows.
Maisie is extremely leash reactive and will require an experienced owner who is committed to continuing her dedicated training. She has already come so far and needs someone willing to work with her using positive reinforcement, a harness, and plenty of patience. 🌟🦮 Fortunately, Maisie is very food motivated, making training a great opportunity to build her confidence and strengthen your bond. 🦴✨
As a young dog, Maisie will also benefit from ongoing training of basic commands and life skills. She can be quite timid in new situations, so she needs a home that will allow her to move at a pace she's comfortable with and celebrate the small victories along the way. 💖
Maisie gets along well with other dogs and could happily share her home with a canine companion. 🐕 However, she is not suitable for a home with cats, small animals, or children. For Maisie, an adult-only home or a calm family with older children would be the ideal environment.
