About Nikko
Nikko is a male Domestic Short Hair cat available for adoption in Avalon Beach (Sydney, NSW).
Nikko loves in a quiet, steady way. He finds your lap, settles in close, and stays there once he's made his choice to trust you, a choice he takes seriously.
He shares an inseparable bond with his brother, Ikko: wherever one goes, the other isn't far behind.
A calm household where he can be the main event would suit Nikko well, apartment or house, as long as there's some vertical space to climb.
A little about Nikko:
🐾 Settles in for long, devoted cuddles once he feels at ease
🐾 Takes a little longer to make his choice with someone new, and makes it count
🐾 Prefers to take in a new face first before deciding to say hello
🐾 Enjoys supervised leash walks, happy to stay close behind
🐾 Shares an inseparable bond with his brother, Ikko
Mornings start with a play session and a hallway sprint or two, Nikko close behind as always. A rattling treat bag brings him running, ears up and nose twitching.
By afternoon he's curled up recharging, before the next burst of energy takes over and the chase starts again.
Nikko prefers to choose his own moment, and when he does, he makes it count with long, settled cuddles that last as long as you'll let them.
New faces get a considered welcome: he hangs back to take it all in first, then arrives on his own terms once he's ready, never rushed into a hello.
Nikko will flourish somewhere he can be the main event. Apartment or house both work, as long as there's some vertical space to climb, a window to watch the world from, and a cosy corner for naps.
Nikko and Ikko are a package, they're only looking for a home that can take them both, one that doesn't ask them to share the spotlight with another animal.
As an established pair, they already know how to be a team, no introductions needed between them, just a home ready to join in.
Picture two sets of ears swivelling toward the treat jar, then a dash down the hallway to see who gets there first. Evenings mean Nikko stretched out nearby, quietly claiming the better cushion for the night.
Nikko is quiet devotion, considered trust and long, settled cuddles once he's made his choice. Alongside Ikko, he's ready to bring loyalty, laughter and a bit of shared mischief into a home that's earned it.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
