About Ikko
Ikko is a male Domestic Short Hair cat available for adoption in Avalon Beach (Sydney, NSW).
Ikko is the playful instigator of the pair, always first to investigate something new, especially if there's a snack involved, chasing down every rustle and rattle in the house.
He shares an inseparable bond with his brother, Nikko: wherever one goes, the other isn't far behind.
A calm household where he can be the main event would suit Ikko well, apartment or house, as long as there's some vertical space to climb.
A little about Ikko:
🐾 Investigates everything first, treats especially
🐾 Leans in for pats the moment you sit down
🐾 Trots straight over for a look whenever new faces arrive
🐾 Enjoys supervised leash walks, keen to lead the way
🐾 Shares an inseparable bond with his brother, Nikko
Mornings start with a play session and a hallway sprint or two, Ikko leading the charge as always. A rattling treat bag brings him running, ears up and nose twitching.
By afternoon he's curled up recharging, before the next burst of energy takes over and the game starts all over again.
Ikko leans in for pats the moment you sit down, an easy, confident presence who doesn't wait around for an invitation to say hello.
New faces get a similar welcome: he trots over for a look, curious and ready to meet whoever's arrived, never one to hang back and watch from a distance.
Ikko will flourish somewhere he can be the main event. Apartment or house both work, as long as there's some vertical space to climb, a window to watch the world from, and a cosy corner for naps.
Ikko and Nikko are a package, they're only looking for a home that can take them both, one that doesn't ask them to share the spotlight with another animal.
As an established pair, they already know how to be a team, no introductions needed between them, just a home ready to join in.
Picture two sets of ears swivelling toward the treat jar, then a dash down the hallway to see who gets there first. On milder days, a short leash walk might round out the afternoon, Ikko leading the way with his nose in the air.
Ikko is curiosity, quick affection and a nose for snacks, all wrapped up in one playful cat who never sits still for long. Alongside Nikko, he's ready to bring loyalty, laughter and a bit of shared mischief into your home.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
