🚨💚 URGENT FOSTER OR FOSTER-TO-ADOPT NEEDED – SPAGHETTI AKA MURPHY 💚🚨

Meet Murphy – a beautiful 2-year-old Kelpie Cross who is searching for a foster or foster-to-adopt home in Victoria. 🏡🐾

Murphy has now been desexed, however she is currently experiencing a hormonal imbalance as her hormones settle following surgery. As a result, she has recently begun growling and lunging at the men within her current household, as well as unfamiliar strangers. This behaviour is completely out of character for her and is believed to be related to her hormonal changes.

We are looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt home with someone who understands that hormones can take time to settle after desexing and is willing to give Murphy the patience, understanding and positive guidance she needs while her hormones return to normal. We are hopeful these behaviours will improve as her body adjusts.

She has settled beautifully into foster care and has shown herself to be adaptable, eager to learn and incredibly rewarding to work with. Murphy is highly food motivated (especially if chicken is involved!) and picks up new skills very quickly.

🐾 Affectionate, loyal and eager to please.
🐾 Smart and highly trainable.
🐾 Loves being included in daily life.
🐾 Enjoys training, scent games and enrichment.
🐾 Happy to relax and snooze in the sun after exercise.
🐾 House-trained and non-destructive when left alone.
🐾 May occasionally borrow a shoe to take to bed with her.

She is also working hard on her manners and learning to sit politely when greeting people.

👧 Children:
Murphy has lived with a 3-year-old, 2-year-old and 6-month-old baby and has been wonderful with them. Because she is an enthusiastic and excitable girl, we believe she would thrive in a home with older children who can better match her energy and enjoy joining her adventures.

🐶 Other Dogs:
Murphy has met many dogs and is generally friendly and social. She can occasionally be unsure of some dogs while on lead and may become protective of her person, but with proper introductions she does very well. She has shown she can happily coexist and interact with other dogs.

🐱 Cats:
Untested.

🏡 Ideal Home:
Murphy would love an active family who enjoys getting out and about. Whether it’s walks, hiking, training sessions, sporting events or simply spending quality time together, Murphy is happiest when she’s included.

At this stage, we’d love to find her a calm, patient home that understands she is currently working through a temporary hormonal imbalance and is committed to helping her regain her confidence using positive reinforcement and consistency.

She would not be suited to apartment living and would benefit from a home where she has space to stretch her legs and continue building her confidence.

🌟 The best part about Murphy? She truly gives you the best of both worlds. She’ll happily join you on outdoor adventures, but she’s just as content snuggled up on the couch or soaking up the sunshine beside you.
