About Luna aka Lu Lu
Lu Lu is a sweet, sensitive young girl who is finally getting the chance to start again ❤️
Her early life in a busy household with five young children left her feeling anxious and overwhelmed, so she is now safely in our care decompressing and learning what it feels like to simply be a dog, calm, loved and secure.
Since arriving, Lu Lu has slowly begun to relax and show her beautiful gentle nature. She is not aggressive, absolutely loves other dogs, and once she bonds with you, becomes a loyal little shadow who just wants to be near her person.
Lu Lu walks on lead but can pull at times, so she will need continued gentle guidance and training. At only 1 year old, she is eager to learn and has so much potential in the right home.

Hoof & Hound Adoption Process:
Initial Enquiry – Prospective adopters submit an application via our website or email, providing information about their household, lifestyle, and experience with pets.
Screening & Interview – We review applications and conduct a phone or in-person interview to ensure a suitable match for the animal’s needs.
Home Check – For dogs and larger animals, a home visit is conducted to ensure the environment is safe, secure, and suitable.
Meet & Greet – The adopter meets the animal at our shelter/foster home to assess compatibility.
Adoption Agreement – Successful adopters sign an adoption contract outlining care requirements and follow-up support.
Follow-Up & Support – We provide ongoing guidance and support to ensure a smooth transition and successful long-term placement.
