Adoption information
About Fox
Fox is a desexed female available for adoption in Burwood (Inner East, VIC).
Fox is the kind of cat who will find you wherever you are, settle herself on your chest, and let you know exactly how she feels about it. She is talkative, affectionate, and genuinely gentle, the sort of cat who never scratches and always has something to say.
She is being rehomed alongside her bonded sister, Liquorice, and the two will be adopted together.
She loves people. With the humans she knows, Fox is all in. She will sit on you, follow you around, and fill a quiet room with purring.
With new people, she is a little more cautious, and her first instinct is to find somewhere comfortable to observe from. A calm and patient approach goes a long way with Fox, and she tends to come around in her own time.
A little about Fox:
🐾 She plays fetch and loves chasing toy mice around the house
🐾 Fox’s favourite place to be is on your chest, purring
🐾 She is low-maintenance, gentle, and has never scratched
🐾 Fox has a sensitive stomach and does best on her specialised Royal Canin diet, which is already part of her daily routine
🐾 She is bonded to her sister Liquorice, who is also listed with Home2Home and will be adopted alongside her
A typical day for Fox involves sleeping, eating, a good chase of a toy mouse, and as many cuddles as she can arrange. She and Liquorice have their own rhythm, the occasional playful chase followed by a nap together. They are comfortable and settled with one another.
With the people she loves, Fox shows affection in the most direct way possible. She will climb onto your chest, tuck herself in, and purr. She has decided you are her person and she would like you to know.
Fox would do best in a calm indoor home without dogs. She suits apartment living well, and would be equally happy in a house. What matters most to her is having people around who enjoy a cat that likes to be close.
Her new guardians will be set up with everything they need at handover, including her specialised diet, transition support recommendations, and full care notes for their veterinary team.
Picture an evening on the couch with Fox purring on your chest, occasionally lifting her head to comment on whatever is on television. That is daily life with this girl.
She is ready for the person who wants a cat that is genuinely, warmly, consistently there. Fox is exactly that.

Medical notes
Fox is in good general health. She has a sensitive stomach, which is why she and Liquorice share a specialised Royal Canin Dental and Royal Canin Digestive diet. To support her through the move, we recommend a short course of Fortiflora probiotic and lysine. Fox is also a cat flu virus carrier, which is common in cats and nothing to be concerned about. Any mild cold-like symptoms during the transition are most likely viral and generally resolve with rest and some extra TLC. Her complete care notes will be shared with her new guardian and veterinary team at handover.
Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
