About Tonic
The easiest way to describe Toni is that he is a distinguished gentleman. Despite losing his brother to a terrible virus, he doesn't have a single care in the world.
His purr is on a running loop, never seeming to stop. Whether he’s being picked up, hanging upside down, on his hot water bottle or just having a cuddle, that purr still runs.
He has a personality like a golden retriever and will do extremely well in a full family, with children and/or with other cats and dogs!
He is a ragdoll x domestic short hair and his coat colour is called "flame point" because hes predominantly cream colour and has ginger features like ear/tail.
Due to our single kitten policy, Toni must be adopted into a home that already has a friendly resident cat, or he would love to be adopted alongside his little foster sister, Zoey, who is also available for adoption (See Zoey's profile here: https://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/1183485).
Toni will make an incredible addition to any family looking for a cuddly friend.
Medical notes
Potential ongoing respiratory symptoms
Due to the severity of illness during his first few months of life, Tonic may be predisposed to intermittent upper respiratory flare-ups (e.g. sneezing, mild discharge).
If symptoms occur, they can typically be managed in consultation with the adopter’s veterinarian. Early intervention is recommended if flare-ups appear more severe or persistent.
Adoption details
All animals adopted through Out of the Woods Rescue are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea/worm treated and health-checked. We aim to match each animal with a home that suits their needs and personality.
Here’s how our adoption process works:
Submit an application – This helps us get to know you, your household and what you're looking for in a pet.
Phone chat – If your application looks like a potential fit, one of our team members will contact you for a casual phone conversation to answer questions and discuss the animal in more detail.
Meet and greet – You’ll meet the animal in their foster home or another agreed location. If everyone agrees it’s a good match, we can proceed to adoption.
Adoption paperwork and payment – Our adoption fees cover desexing, microchipping, vaccination and parasite treatment.
Once adopted, the animal becomes part of your family. We're still here for post-adoption support if you ever need any help.
We’re committed to ethical adoptions and reserve the right to decline applications if we feel the match isn’t in the best interest of the animal.
