About June-bug
June-bug is a desexed female Domestic Shorthair available for adoption in Wyndham Vale (Melbourne, VIC).
June-bug is one of those cats who makes you feel like you've known her your whole life. She is warm, gentle and completely unguarded — the kind of cat who will trot over to greet you, roll onto her back, and make it very clear that she'd like some attention please.
She loves people. Familiar faces, new visitors, anyone who walks through the door — June-bug is ready to meet them all.
This is a cat who simply wants to be close to the people she loves, and she'll let you know with the sweetest little chirp when she's ready for pats.
A little about June-bug:
🐾 Warm, gentle and effortlessly friendly
🐾 Loves everyone — familiar faces and new visitors alike
🐾 Communicates with soft chirps and happy rollovers
🐾 Low-maintenance and deeply affectionate
🐾 Best suited to a calm indoor home without dogs
June-bug's days are wonderfully simple. She'll spend a good part of the day watching the world go by from her favourite window, claim the office chair for an afternoon sleep, and be waiting at the door when you get home — ready for the pats she has been thinking about all day.
June-bug prefers affection over active play — she's most in her element with a gentle scratch and someone nearby to enjoy her company.
When she wants attention she'll chirp softly in your direction and roll over at your feet. It is, by all accounts, impossible to ignore.
With new people, June-bug tends to approach with easy confidence and has shown no hesitation with unfamiliar visitors. She'll introduce herself on her own terms — usually within minutes.
June-bug has lived alongside other adult cats without any issue and would settle comfortably into a home with existing feline company. A dog-free home suits June-bug best — she's most relaxed in a calm, quiet environment.
She would suit a wide range of households — families with older children, young guardians, elderly guardians — as long as the home is calm and indoors. She is not demanding, not destructive, and not complicated. She is just very, very lovely.
Picture coming home at the end of the day to a small chirp from the hallway, a cat rolling happily at your feet, and an evening spent with the most contented company imaginable.
June-bug has been waiting for exactly this. She's ready when you are.
💛 June-bug is part of a little family. Her sons, Billy and Oro, are also looking for homes and can be adopted separately or together. You can find their profiles here: Oro — Billy — Oro in particular thrives with a family member by his side — if you have room for two, it's worth a read.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
