About Casper, Paxton & Rion
Casper, Paxton and Rion are guinea pigs available for adoption in Phillip Bay (Sydney, New South Wales).
Calm, companionable guinea pigs, this gentle trio brings a peaceful rhythm into the home. Indoor-suited and happiest in quiet households, they thrive on routine, soft interaction and the simple joys of hay, cosy rest and shared space.
A little about this trio:
🐾 Paxton and Rion are a bonded pair
🐾 Casper has lived peacefully alongside them for years
🐾 Indoor-suited companions who enjoy calm homes
🐾 Prefer connection at ground level rather than being carried
🐾 Thrive with consistent routines and gentle care
Their days unfold in a steady, comforting pattern.
Mornings often begin with soft wheeks building into an excited chorus as fresh hay appears. Afternoons are for long, synchronised naps or quiet grazing. By evening, you’ll notice curious little faces at the enclosure, hopeful for a treat and a gentle hello.
They’re wonderfully expressive, quickly learning the sounds of their routine and greeting you with chatter and anticipation, especially around mealtimes.
Each brings their own quiet personality to the group.
Paxton is the thoughtful observer, calmly watching the world around him.
Rion enjoys gentle head rubs, leaning softly into familiar hands.
Casper prefers to observe first, stepping forward to accept treats once he feels safe.
With their trusted people, they enjoy calm interaction and hand-feeding. They prefer to keep all four feet on the ground, choosing connection on their own terms.
In new environments or with sudden change, they may take a little time to settle. Given patience and consistency, their confidence grows naturally.
They would flourish in a peaceful home where routines are predictable and their natural behaviours are understood and respected. They may suit first-time guinea pig guardians who are happy to learn their gentle, routine-based care.
They enjoy a spacious, secure enclosure where they can graze, rest side by side and observe the household at their own pace.
Paxton and Rion share a strong bond, and while Casper is not formally bonded, he has lived alongside them for many years and benefits from the security of their shared routine. While caring for three may sound like more, their established dynamic often makes them easier to settle than introducing new companions separately.
Rion receives monthly treatment for osteoarthritis to keep him comfortable, while Casper has small lifelong lumps that simply require occasional monitoring. Both are otherwise happy, thriving and enjoying their daily routines.
They appreciate daily feeding, fresh hay and gentle interaction as part of their rhythm.
Life with this trio is wonderfully grounding.
You might start your day to a chorus of eager wheeks, spend afternoons watching them rest side by side, and end the evening with quiet companionship and soft interactions nearby.
For the right home, they offer a peaceful presence, small moments of joy, and a steady, comforting rhythm.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
