About Lotus Biscoff
Meet Lotus Biscoff (aka Djuke)
Professional shadow. Champion snoozer. World-class pat collector.
Djuke is a 7-year-old Old English Sheepdog mix with the softest soul and the biggest heart. After arriving into care extremely matted (and receiving a full shave makeover ✂️✨), this gentle gentleman has been quietly blossoming into the most devoted companion you could imagine.
Djuke’s greatest joy in life is you. Your presence. Your pats. Your general existence in the same room. He’s affectionate, calm, and deeply people-oriented — the kind of dog who will happily nap the day away in his favourite chair as long as he can keep you in sight. Pats are his love language, and he is… enthusiastically fluent.
🏡 Home Sweet (Indoor) Home
Djuke is an indoor dog through and through. Outside living? Hard no. Couch nearby? Yes please. He thrives in a home where someone is around most of the day and where he can truly feel included as part of the family. At night, he sleeps happily in his crate — especially when it’s close to his people — which helps him feel safe and settled.
🐾 Energy Level: Expert Lounger (with Adventure Mode Available)
As a mature dog, Djuke is low-to-moderate energy and perfectly content with:
• 30 minutes in the morning
• 30 minutes before dinner
…provided there’s plenty of sniffing involved (he takes this very seriously).
That said, if you’re heading out for a longer adventure, Djuke is absolutely in. Two hours? Day or night? He’s ready — as long as he’s with you.
🎓 Manners & Training
Djuke can pull a little on lead when excitement strikes, but he’s learning quickly that calm walking gets him where he wants to go. He has excellent recall, both indoors and outdoors, which makes outings a joy.
He’s dog-friendly and can happily live in a multi-dog household, though he prefers calm companionship over rough-and-tumble play.
During the day, if left free-roaming alone, Djuke can become anxious and may have accidents — so daytime crate naps are recommended when you pop out. He’s also currently learning not to jump up when greeting people (his excitement is very genuine), and this is something his future family can gently continue working on.
🛁 The Floof Is Returning…
As his beautiful coat grows back, Djuke will need regular brushing to keep him comfy and mat-free. Consider it bonding time — he won’t complain.
💛 The Big Picture
Above all else, Djuke is searching for a forever home. A real forever. A place where he never has to leave again, where he can finally settle into the role he was born for: beloved family member, loyal companion, and constant presence by your side.
In return, he offers unwavering affection, a calming presence, and the kind of love that sticks with you — even in a park full of extremely fascinating smells.
