About Sailor
Ahoy there! Are you ready for a handsome tabby man to sail into your heart? ⚓ I might not actually know how to steer a ship, but I do know how to love.
My fur sister, Diamond and I used to have an elderly owner until he sadly fell ill and could no longer care for us. That’s how we ended up in foster care and we are now ready to find our furever home!
The Ultimate Love Language: Pats, Flops, and... Drools!
If you are looking for a cat who truly appreciates your affection, I am your man. I am a gentle soul and a total pat-addict. While I can be a tiny bit reserved initially when I first meet someone new, I do come out of my shell the second you offer me treats or scratches! I don't just "like" scratches—I live for them! If you hit that perfect spot under my chin or behind my ears, I will literally melt into a puddle and flop over at your feet in pure bliss. If you stop patting me I will headbutt your hand to keep giving me pats, or I will rub my cheeks against your legs as my way of claiming you as my hooman.
In fact, I have a very special way of showing you just how much I love your attention: I’m a happy drooler! When the pats are just right, I get so relaxed and content that I can't help but dribble a little bit. It’s my true testament to how much I appreciate being loved.
A Distinguished Gentleman with Quirky Charms
At 11 years young, I would be the perfect companion for a cat lover looking for a relaxed and gentle friend. I am a very well-behaved, quiet gentleman who thrives on comfort and easy handling. I’m at a stage in my life where I’m just content to have a cozy cat bed and a peaceful home where my loving personality can truly shine.
I did have to have my two front teeth removed recently, but don't let that fool you—my appetite is better than ever! I’m easy going and will eat dry food, wet food, and I love my creamy treats. I have a very endearing way of saying "thank you" for my dinner: I make the most adorable little grumble-purr while I eat. It’s my way of telling the world how happy I am to be cared for again.
Your Loyal Companion
If you're ready to open your heart and home to a sweet soul, I promise to provide quiet companionship and the softest purrs of gratitude. I am ready to become part of your life and offer the kind of deep loyalty and comfort that only a senior cat can provide.
I am currently living with my fluffy sister, Diamond. While we aren’t a "bonded pair" (we’re more like polite roommates), I would be more than happy to be adopted with her. However, I am also perfectly happy to be your solo king or to live with another calm resident cat, provided we have a slow introduction. In my foster home I’m currently living with a resident cat.
All I’m searching for is a "forever anchor." Do you have a spare hand for scratches and a spot on the couch for a gentle green eyes soul like me? I’m ready to become part of your life and meet you!
Sailor's sister, Diamond is also looking for a loving new home. Please check out her profile here --> Diamond - https://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/1158150
