Astro

Astro is the sweetest boy and is now available and ready to settle with a new family.
He is a 7yr old Staffy x Bull Terrier and has a distinctive black eye patch.
We are privileged that his previous family reached out to us to help them to care for and rehome him and he has been a delight for the past few weeks with his foster dad.
He is used to a female owner and responds more readily to a female tone, but has been warming to the male voice commands from his foster dad.
Astro has a great temperament and loves the company of kids. He is an inquisitive walker and doesn’t want to miss checking out any trees on the way past. So if you’re wanting a brisk walker or fast runner, Astro isn’t that kinda guy.
He will warmly welcome other dogs on the way past and is in the main a placid friendly bloke. He enjoys playing with dogs of all ages from puppy upwards. Although he has been the only dog in his home, we think he will go well with another dog, as long as the dog isn’t boisterous or rough on him.
He does have a touch of arthritis in his front left leg and can get a little stiff and sore after a big play session, but manages with his regular medication for this and he will need to continue with vet attention for this issue.
Thunderstorms create considerable fear for Astro and his new owner will need to make use of his thunder jacket and medication to help him through a storm. Windy nights and regular rain don’t seem to trouble him though.
He is very much a homely dog. He doesn’t mind being outside for a time, but much prefers being indoors with you.
He is happy to be left alone when you go out and has been caught on his carers camera entertaining himself playing with his rope toy and doing zoomies.
He is fully house trained, desexed, wormed and vaccinated.
We think that Astro would be equally at home with a family who have young kids or a couple or single person who enjoys a leisurely walking companion with a bit of play time thrown in.
