About Canoe
*In foster care in Strathfield, Sydney*
Canoe is your classic orange cat through and through - outgoing, spunky, and just a little bit chaotic in the most lovable way!
This gorgeous velcro kitty just wants to be where you are, all the time. His happy place is sitting on his foster human's lap purring away after a big game of fetch (yes, he plays fetch!), and a household where he's given loads of affection and interactive playtime would be a perfect match for him. He's not even fazed by loud noise or hectic activity, so bring on the family home bustle!
Like all Maggie's pets, Canoe is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: ... is with you! Honestly, I think I'd fit in pretty much anywhere :) Plenty of play and cuddly company are my only special requests!
MY ENERGY LEVEL: If I'm not sleeping, I'm playing or eating - much like most kittens!
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Though I haven't met any kids yet, I'm likely to love them as I take loud noises and unpredictable movement in stride.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: My brother Kayak is the best! I'd love to go home with him (here's his profile if you'd like to check it out?: https://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/1140929), but if that's not possible another friendly feline to play and bond with would be awesome.
Dogs are a mystery to me at this stage, but chances are I'd get along with nice ones!

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
