About Rosalind
Meet Rosalind (Rosie) – Your Once-in-a-Lifetime Girl 🌸
1-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer mix
Rosalind isn’t just a beautiful soul—she’s a triumph of heart. When she first arrived, she was thin, scared, and utterly exhausted. But with love, safety, and a little time, her spirit is blooming. Now 1.4 kg healthier and full of quiet joy, she’s beginning to trust, to play, and to show just how special she really is.
Exceptionally intelligent and eager to please, Rosalind already knows sit, wait, shake (both paws!), lie down, jump up—and her recall is outstanding. She’s showing early pointer instincts and is beginning to truly engage with the world around her.
Rosalind’s chocolate coat gleams, and her manners are just as polished: soft in her approach, calm when taking food, never pushy. She’s described by her carer as a “Zen dog”—graceful, gentle, and deeply intuitive. While Rosalind is still cautious with strangers and may growl softly to set her boundary, she is learning that the world isn’t so scary after all.
She’s walking beautifully on lead and, when told “no,” will ignore other dogs in passing. Rosalind is people-focused and thrives when she has company, so a home where someone is around most of the time would help her continue to blossom. She connects more readily with women but is warming to kind, patient men too.
She absolutely adores Jordan and is fantastic with children—gentle with Blake (7) and Loki (10), and respectful of Ziggy the senior dog’s space. With continued training and confidence building, Rosalind has everything she needs to become one of those unforgettable heart dogs.
Rosalind is looking for a foster-to-adopt home ready to nurture her gentle soul and enjoy the deep bond she offers in return.
