About Hercules
Hello friends, my name is Hercules.
My foster family call me hercs and hercies for short.
I am a staghound cross something HUGE!!
At just 14 weeks old everyone says I am big for my age weighing around 20kgs!
My mum Kanzi was saved from a NSW pound by Mornington Peninsula Dog Rescue Incorporated and brought to Victoria where she gave birth to 12 puppies!!
I was the very first pup and the largest!
Over the last 14 weeks I've had two foster homes. My first home took such good care of us, gave us lots of love, cuddles and showed me the ropes. Now I am with my sister Khione at my second foster home.
Oh boy I've done some growing and learning here.
The first thing to know about me, I'm a sensitive new aged guy. I might be huge, but I'd prefer to cuddle rather than guard you. I can be a bit of a drama king too.
I love kids, I have grown with kids ranging from 2 years old to 13 years old and we love to play together.
I am very gentle with babies but if they have food near me I'll try eat it 😋.
I enjoy meeting new people and getting lots of pats and love.
Dogs really interest me but I love to play with my toys and eat my food by myself.
I think I'd like a big brother or sister who can handle me being a little rowdy.
When my foster mum goes to the shops, I like to relax but I am so excited when she comes home and just want cuddles.
I love to run and I'm a very active boy so I'll need a big back yard where I can stretch my long legs. I am very adventurous but not a huge fan of water but it sure does interest me!
I am learning basic commands like sit, stay and down, plus walking on the lead but I am a little rusty and actively getting better daily.
Obedience training and continued socialisation is a MUST for me as I'm predicted to grow extra large. Everyone only wants the best me and my new family.
I cannot wait to meet my forever family and make some great memories.
Love Hercules ❤️
