About Dora
*In foster care in Brighton-Le-Sands, Sydney*
Dora has really blossomed since arriving in foster care! Her playful personality is now on full display - especially when her coveted shoelace (stolen from a pair of Converse) is involved!
While she's not super cuddly (yet!), her confidence is skyrocketing and her zoomies are next level. She's a true gourmand too, always eagerly awaiting her next meal! She's definitely at her most affectionate when food is on offer and she'll lap up the pats - so long as you follow through with the food ;)
Dora's second-favourite toy (after her shoelace) is a bright orange ping-pong ball. However, despite the near-constant supply of new balls (eight at last count), they keep disappearing! We wonder if a secret stash will someday reveal itself - maybe under the fridge, seeing as she spends so much time hanging out there? The mystery continues...
Like all Maggie's pets, Dora is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: I found indoor life quite overwhelming at first, having spent my first six weeks on the streets - but after just a few days and some irresistible chicken treats, I began to come out of my shell and started trusting my surroundings. My ideal home would be with a patient, understanding person or couple who'll give me all the time and space I need to settle in - and hopefully lots of treats to speed up the process!
MY ENERGY LEVEL: During playtime it's a solid 10/10! But when its time to rest, you'll find me curled up somewhere cosy (usually on my blanket under the bed) waiting for my next meal. After eating, it's straight back to fun and games!
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I'm still getting used to trusting calm adults, and though I'm making huge progress every day, small children under the age of 10 would likely be a bit too rowdy for me.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: Cats are great! I'm very respectful of their space and territory. The big cat I live with now is EXTREMELY interesting, and I'm trying my best to win her over!
I also live with my brother Digby at the moment, who I totally adore - maybe you'd like to adopt us together? Here's our joint profile: https://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/1108804
I've never interacted with dogs, but I have a feeling they might not be my cup of tea. Of course, it's all about compatibility, and one with the right personality could be just fine!

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
