Hello forever family, I’m Solitaire, but my foster family has been calling me Shelby 🐾
They believe I’m a 1-2 year old greyhound X border collie.
I was in season when I arrived into the care of MPDRI, so I’ve just been chilling out at my carers home while I decompress and wait for my cycle to finish (which it now has).
Due to this I need to wait about 6 weeks until I can visit the vet and be desexed, which means I’m on the search for my “foster to adopt” forever home 💕
I am a very very good girl! I let myself out the doggy door to go to the toilet, am not jumpy, take food gently, don’t bark, am non-destructive, sleep all night, and am very good with other dogs who play nice with me.
I’m definitely more greyhound than border collie, as I am a couch potato and happy as long as I have a human nearby! I don’t mind being left alone for a little while, but I love human company and will be laying waiting at the front door for you while you’re gone. I’m starting to show an interest in fluffy toys but am yet to “play” with my family. I do LOVE bones though!
I’m quite tall, I stand just below hip height on my 5ft foster Mum. I’m also quite heavy and currently need lifting into the car, so this needs to be taken into consideration. Once I’m in the car, I travel very well and am just happy to be with you! Being so big, I’d probably be best with older and dog-savvy kids. I’m happy to be an only child, or have a fur sibling who is well-mannered. I haven’t tried to jump, but being very tall and having some BC in me, high, secure fences are a must.
If you think you can offer me a comfortable, calm home with a nice big couch or bed for me to snuggle up next to you on, please consider adopting me!
Solitaire will be desexed while with her foster-to-adopt home.
