Meet Augi, a gorgeous, big-hearted, one-year-old Wolfhound cross who’s still embracing his (very large) puppy phase! This sweet boy has been on an incredible journey—from a tough start in life to thriving in foster care—and he's ready to find his forever home.

Augi’s story began with hardship, as he was neglected, mistreated, and ultimately ended up in the pound. But in his foster home, he’s blossomed into a lively, affectionate, and happy pup! While he’s learning his manners due to his size, Augi has made great progress. He knows commands like sit, drop, wait at thresholds, “up” to jump into the boot, and can walk loosely on a Halti. Training is something he genuinely enjoys, and he’s looking for a confident person to continue guiding him with love and boundaries.

This social butterfly must have the companionship of another dog who will be patient with him and enjoy his high-energy, boisterous play. Applications without a doggy friend will not be accepted, as Augi thrives with canine company. He adores his Rottie foster sister, and nothing makes him happier than playtime with her.

Augi’s friendly nature also extends to children, but due to his size, he’s best suited to homes with dog-savvy or older kids. Though initially wary of men, he warms up beautifully with slow introductions. He’s made big strides already, seeking affection from men on walks and forming a close bond with his foster dad.

This handsome boy also gets along beautifully with cats, showing them nothing but politeness and respect. Augi loves the beach, car rides, walks, and, of course, treats! He’s a bit of an anxious soul, so he needs a home where his people are around most of the time to provide comfort and companionship. Be prepared for endless pats, brushing, and massages—his lovable charm is simply irresistible.
