About Chaturanga
Calling all adult or retired families looking for a beautiful dog to spoil!
My name Chaturanga (but you can call me Talia) I'm about 7 months old and a female Ridgeback x Bull Arab? At 7 months old I am knee height but may grow a little more, I am still quite lean.
Very little is known of my history other than I was found, lost in the bushland at 6 months old, with my mother who had 2 other younger pups from the next litter at foot.
I'm an absolute smooch and love to snuggle on the bed or couch. I will tap you or nuzzle my head under your arm if I want more cuddles.
Everything is new to me and I am experiencing lots of situations for the first time. I can get a little startled from simplest of things from cars slamming, kids stomping feet or other loud noises. You must remember, I had not been exposed to much before coming to MPDR.
I am dog friendly, however I am a little timid and need more interaction around dogs and people to gain my confidence. Right now, I mainly just stand still and amsure how to engage.
I am currently being fostered with a cat and have shown nothing but curiosity towards it. When the cat hisses, I will back off, so I have demonstrated that I can live with a dog savvy cat. Just make sure the cat food is out of reach, or I will eat that too!!
I am toilet trained, know how to sit, am learning to heel and know how to "watch". I picked up the command for "watch" super fast so I'll be super fast at learning new commands!
My ideal family is one that is home a majority of the time, when the are out, they must keep me stimulated with toys or a bone. If I get bored, I can get destructive.
Young children are fast, unpredictable and a bit scary right now. Although I have met a few, it's taken a while for me to let them pat me. I'd much prefer an adult only home please.
My ideal family will be adults who are looking for a "project" dog, who they will slowly see blossom, from a timid girl, into a well rounded dog. They will be experienced with bully breeds or large breeds, as I can be stubborn. I pretend that I am scared, but I'm really just not wanting to do something. I'm a bit cheeky!
