About Piggy
Meet Piggy (D250085), a sweet and playful male American Staffordshire Terrier with a striking black-and-white coat! Piggy can be a bit shy and timid when first meeting new people, so he will thrive in a home with a gentle and patient owner who can help him feel comfortable. While he may be flinchy at first, he’s very friendly once he trusts you.
Piggy loves belly rubs and has a playful spirit, often showing off his adorable play bows. He enjoys the company of other dogs, though he can be a bit dominant at first—once he gets to know them, he’s a friendly and fun companion. He’s a bit scared of cats, so he may do best in a home where slow introductions are possible.
Piggy is a high-energy boy who needs plenty of enrichment and mental stimulation. If he's left bored, he can get destructive, so an active home or one with another dog for company would be ideal. He’s head shy when putting on a lead, so gentle handling is important.
Piggy would thrive in a home with no kids under 10, but could be a great fit for older children who understand his need for space and slow introductions. If you're looking for a loving, playful companion and can offer the patience and care Piggy needs, he may be the perfect addition to your family!
If you're ready for a playful companion who’s as loving as he is energetic , Piggy could be the perfect fit for you! Please complete the online adoption questionnaire and include photos of your secure yard and fencing. Our shelter staff will be in touch if your application is successful to arrange a meet & greet!
