About Hungry Hungry Hippo
Hungry Hungry Hippo, calm and sweet,
In your home, she’ll find her seat.
With gentle eyes and a loving heart,
This chilled-out girl is a work of art.
Are your retired parents looking for a pretty, well behaved dog that lives only to please, is medium sized and adores snuggles? Introducing Hungry Hungry Hippo.
This beautiful girl was surrendered along with her sister Pictionary to a rural NSW pound as their family was sadly becoming homeless. Her original name was Chelsea and this is what her foster carers have continued to call her.
Hungry Hungry Hippo is a 1 year old Boxer cross, but is certainly not jumpy, she is quite a timid dog that will occasionally drop to the ground. We believe this is a nervous response, not one due to abuse.
She may take a few days to warm up and trust her new owners, then you will find yourself sharing the couch, bed and every waking minute with her. Hungry Hungry Hippo would prefer a smaller place, large acreages seem to overwhelm her.
This lovely girl would prefer an only dog home, so she doesn't have to share all the love. Hungry Hungry Hippo does also resource food from other dogs, but not people. She has been tested with cats and could live happily with a dog friendly cat.
Hungry Hungry Hippo would prefer a quiet adult home, or one with older kids who are not too bouncy and active to scare her.
She is fine to be left home alone, is not destructive and will welcome you home with a waggy tail. Sheis toilet trained, knows how to sit, stay and drop already. Hungry Hungry Hippo is also fantastic on the lead and doesn't pull.
If you are looking for a very loving dog that doesn't require an exciting active life, just a snuggle on the couch while you watch the TV, this is the girl for you!
