About Blackie
Blackie and his brother Mooey are looking for a new home (together) after their owner had to move house and was unable to find a rental that allowed them. You can view Mooey's listing here: https://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/1084107
These two brothers have grown up together and are great mates. While Mooey was quite affectionate almost straight away, Blackie was a bit traumatised by the move into foster care and took about 6 weeks to come out of his shell and let his carer pat him. Months on and both these boys are typical, loving, friendly cats that come up for headbutts at dinner time, talks with their carer (mostly Mooey - Blackie is not nearly as vocal!) and both are easily picked up and cuddled. These boys will truly make a great addition to an indoor only home who is cat experienced and is willing to give them the month or two required for them to get to know their new family and settle in For this reason Blackie & Mooey will come on an extended trial period.
Both Blackie and Moeey are used to living with multiple cats and while haven't lived with dogs before, are used to them being around outside of the cattery they are currently housed in. They would be better in a home with no very young children as they haven't grown up with kids and will just hide from them.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.

Our animals are rescued from various pounds and shelters and placed in Foster Care until a permanent home can be found. Our volunteer Foster Carers are located throughout Sydney, Australia and are only too happy to assist you.
DCH Animal Adoptions relies solely on our adoption fees and the generous support of the community to continue our rescue work. Many times, we are faced with large veterinary bills due to the illness and injury that comes along with looking after pound rescues.
