About Mooey & Blackie
URGENT: Mooey and his brother Blackie have been in a cattery situation for over 12 months now and they desperately need a permanent, or foster care home, that can care for them in a loving home situation.
Mooey & Blackie are sweet boys, Mooey is very cuddly and Blackie is affectionate too, but will take some time to warm up to their new people so ideally they need a patient, and understanding, quieter home that understands shy cats need some time to trust their new family.
They are both gentle, sweet natured boys who came into rescue after their owner could no longer find accommodation that allowed pets. The brothers were raised in a home environment from young kittens and are typical playful, cuddly, loving boys with their special people.
Mooey is shy on first meeting but after 2-3 weeks of harmless hissing and hiding he has come out of his shell and is now very easy to handle. He is a placid boy who can be picked up easily and comes to his carer for cuddles and affection. Blackie is the less trusting of the two and it took him about 6 weeks to start to bond with his foster carers, for this reason the boys come on an extended trial period. Once that trust has been established the boys are normal, friendly, easy to handle cats.
They are used to living with multiple cats and are ok with dogs around (although have never lived with any directly). They boys would suit a home who has had cats before, with no very young children (as they'll just hide from them). They are used to being inside only and would be fine in a reasonable sized apartment or house.
