Jorgi is a wonderfully smoochy girl who absolutely loves belly scratches. She may be a little shy in a new environment but she is incredibly affectionate once she settles and feels comfortable.

She is happy to move herself around the house based on the best sunspots to curl up in which sometimes means she sleeps half in and half out of her bed. Her second favourite activity is to look at the birds through the window so a home that has windows with views would be great.

Jorgi arrived into our care extremely overweight and is starting to gradually lose the excess weight through a strict diet and encouraging her to be active. Weight loss will allow her to move more freely and take pressure off her joints and avoid some potentially serious health issues moving forward. Her new home will need to take her weight loss seriously and be committed to getting her to play and move around to play their role in her weight management.

Jorgi’s back was extremely matted when she arrived in care as she is unable to reach it with her current condition. We clipped it to get her comfortable and as it grows back she will need daily brushing to keep it neat and tidy, luckily she absolutely loves being brushed.

Jorgi is really hoping for a quiet, indoor, adult home environment where she can be her lovely self. While she arrived in care with Perci it has become clear that they are not bonded. Jorgi would be happy in a home of her own, with Perci or with another friendly, older cat who is happy to co-exist. She’s not met dogs while in care and most would be too overwhelming for her but we are happy to consider it on a case by case basis.

While in our care Jorgi has had a dental to ensure her teeth are clean and sparkling. She is desexed, microchipped and up to date with her vaccinations and parasite treatments.
