About Hope
HOPE is ready to find her perfect forever home 🏡 💓
Hope was surrendered to a Victorian pound from a breeding home as her prev owner couldn't look after her anymore.
July 2024, was when we were made aware of Hope, she was in urgent status due to her being shutdown ,facing the wall of the pound kennel, sad, not wanting to interact etc. More importantly Hope was severely obesed at 38.6kg !
She was extremely timid, petrified and lost. it is obvious she was kept isolated from the world and lived a very sheltered life.
Fast forward NOW, November 2024 working closely with our incredible vet team at @progressivevetcare , Hope is at 33kg, & desexed and doing very well in reaching her ideal weight of 30kg.
In the last 3 months Hope learned so much about the world. Something she never knew / had the freedom to explore before coming into our care.
She gained confidence and made lots of new friends , humans & 4 legged . Thanks to her amazing foster family #fosteringsaveslives❤️🐶 Hope has a chance for a better future 🐕
⭐️Toilet trained , good on leash , unbothered with dogs , prefers to be friends with calm mature well balanced dogs, good in the car & loves adventure in nature. ❌️ Not Tested with Cats or other small animals
Hope needs a home with experience; especially with shy dogs . A family who will be patient but encouraging in a positive way . A family with another well balanced dog. She must be INDOOR.
Hope is independent enough to be left home alone however in order for Hope to continue her progress & learning about the world, Hope needs a family who is home enough to have the time for Hope.
A family who will take her out and about , this girl is a social girl she wants to make friends with people and dogs - she just need to continue to gain confidence in public .
Hope gets spooked so introducing her to new things will need slow intro especially in public places, so Busy Loud parks aren't the best for Hope right now.
A family home with calm social energy will be best for Hope. A lifestyle that is active enough for a 4yo labrador to live a healthy happy content life, INDOOR.
✅️ Kids must be above 10yo and dog savy
✅️ Not suited for apartment living
✅️ Must be able to drive
✅️ Resident dog Must be well balanced
✅️ Secure Fence
❌️ Not Tested with Cats or other small animals. We don't provide cat testing 🙏
