Rapidash

Rapidash is a lovable, 5-year-old Rottweiler cross with a heart as big as his personality! When he arrived at his foster home, he was carrying a bit of extra weight, currently sitting at 60kg. He’s now on a weight management plan to lose around 10kg, which will help him feel his best. To ensure he's in tip-top shape, Rapidash recently had his hips and knees X-rayed, and the vet has given him a full thumbs-up on his joint health! As he sheds the pounds, joint supplements have been recommended to support his mobility.

This smart boy came to us without much training, but he’s learned quickly. He now knows how to sit, lie down, wait, and has excellent recall. On walks, he’s calm and easy on the lead, making him a joy to take out. Rapidash has also learned to play well with his foster sisters, respecting their space and boundaries. He’d thrive in a home with other confident dogs who can set boundaries, or a laid-back dog happy to let him take the lead.

His favorite toy? A squeaky! Rapidash loves his squeaky toy and will come running at the sound, no matter what he’s up to. This gentle giant adores cuddles and thinks he’s a lap dog, always happy to snuggle up with his people. He’s good with children, though a home without very young kids would be ideal since he can sometimes be a bit clumsy. He’s also not a fan of cats, so a cat-free home would suit him best.
