Hydra

Hydra (house name Max) the 4yo Border Collie is like a grand old duke, he is the most handsome of fellows, trotting about all gentlemanly like, and he doesn’t seem to have a care in the world! He is simply the most gentle, loyal fellow and will follow you around and sleep at your feet.

Hydra loves living inside and is quite respectful, sleeps on his bed and sleeps through the night, with some boundaries as he loves his fine dining and treats, currently a little on the plump side old chap is!

He also behaves outside without incident! He is fantastic with kids but gently, jumps so older kids are better, he is ok with cats if they can look after themselves, he used to live with chickens and geese, no, to pocket pets! The command ‘leave it’ works good!

He has excellent recall and is good with other dogs, he has lived with another collie x in foster care and they lived together quite well, but he likes to food guard so to be fed separately.

He would love to live with a non dominant male or female friend or as the only dog if his owner was home more often than not! He is good in the car, loves the beach, ponds, dams, water in general, enjoys a wander through the grounds - he’s happy living a medium paced life!
