About Meowth
Whoever is lucky enough to adopt this one in a million girl, will have the family member of their dreams!
Meowth (named Lunah by her foster carer) is a stunning, medium sized 2 year old Boxer x staffy? With a heart of gold.
Meowth was found wandering the outback NSW roads by a ranger and impounded, but unfortunately noone claimed her.
Luckily MPDR saved her and she made the long journey to her wonderful foster family and their friendly Cocker Spaniel.
Meowth trusts everyone she meets, she adores human and other animals even after the life she has endured. She "holds hands" with her foster mum while she sleeps and buries herself into her blankets.
Meowth has some facial deformity on her left side, caused by trauma (we are unsure how it actually happened.) Her left eye socket, jaw bone and nose were broken and have been left to mend on their own. She also has a piece missing from one of her ears. Due to this, her eye weeps and she has 5% breathing through one nostril and broken teeth that were removed. Meowth has been xrayed and thoroughly checked. Her facial deformity is now just aesthetic.
Meowth's foster carers installed a doggy door for her and she's uses this religiously, even when the actual door is open! She is toilet trained, provided there is access to a doggy door or open door
Meowth is fine to be left home alone, she does not have seperation anxiety and could be an only dog provided she is given stimulation. She would love a home with another doggy friend!
This girl does steal food from benches, tables, pantries etc, so all food will need to be locked away. Coming from a past life when she never knew when her last meal would be, she's always ready. Also food packages, skewers, anything that previously held food must be locked away from her. She's a great bin diver!
She is not food aggressive, but will steal other dogs food if she is allowed, so to stop arguments, feeding separately is advised.
Meowth is a pleasure to walk on the lead, she rarely barks and loves to sleep!
She can get over excited and jump around small kids, so dog savvy kids are advised.
And watch out, she loves to lick you everywhere!!!
Meowth is not tested with cats, but we feel a dog savvy cat may be fine.
The commands Meowth knows are: sit, wait, “leaves it”, “no” and she also has great recall.
Outside is still scary and she will need time to get to know new places.
The ideal home for Meowth would be a loving family with another friendly, well behaved dog to take her on a walk once a day and provide her with heaps of love so that she can forget her past!
Meowth will be desexed in a week.
