About Mon Mothma
Everybody needs a warm hug to make them feel loved in their lives and we have one for you right now! Her name is Mon Mothma and she is a female 6 year old Husky x Pug (or Hug).
This lovely girl was impounded as a stray when she was young in a rural NSW pound and adopted out by a family with kids. Six years later they surrendered her back with no reason given. Mon Mothma then made her way to MPDR in Victoria.
Mon Mothma (or Oreo as she is known at home) is a classic mix both physically and personality wise of both a Husky and Pug. She is the size of a Labrador, loves going on regular runs and loves her adventures in the car!
She also loves being near her people, loves a snuggle on the couch and is super sweet.
Mon Mothma has a short upturned muzzle like a Pug, pointy ears, long legs and a curly bristly tail like a Husky. She does not suffer breathing problems and has a double coat.
This beautiful girl does not like having her feet touched, but is happy to have any other part of her body cuddled.
She adores kids and has been tested with an 11 year old girl who she loved playing with in the back yard. She also met a 2 year old child at Adoption Day and was fantastic.
Mon Mothma is dog friendly, but may require a little more socialisation. We feel she would benefit in a home as an only dog, so she can receive all the love. A home without cats or pocket pets would also be best.
This girl is super smart and managed to unlock the front door and take herself on an adventure when she first came into foster care. Therefore, all doors in her forever home will need to be "Mon Mothma" proof. She doesn't like being left alone for long.
Mon mothma is now toilet trained, can sit and stay on command and really is the perfect addition to most active families types.
Her ideal family would be an active family with or without kids that can take her on outings, adventures, hiking, camping, sports events, daily activities. Being a Husky x she will crave bith physical and mental stimulation and an active, loving family will provide her with this. In return, you will receive a never ending Hug!
