About Duke
This is the story of Duke!
Duke came to us after his owner was no longer able to care for him (his mum & his brother) due to having too many of them.
We took in Duke and his mum Fifi 4 months ago while his brother’s fate was unknown to us.
They were absolutely scared, petrified and very confused. They mainly stay hiding at all time if there is the presence of any human. They only come out to eat and having a run around in the backyard, playing with other dogs if no one is around.
They get along well and have no problems with other dogs, however they have no trust in humans.
Fortunate enough, Fifi has found a lovely foster home but Duke is still here with us.
Duke is a healthy and solid boy. He is curious about the humans but would avoid any kind of contacts including eye contact. He would stand from a distance and looking out from behind the bush if it happens he is in the garden.
Duke seems to be quite a happy boy when he is alone with only canine friends around him so we think with a quiet home with another nice & friendly dog and a patient person that has time to spend with him would beneficial to him to slowly bring him out of his shell.
In four months he has been with us, Duke has a very little & slow improvement however we think with time and TLC he will definitely turn around.
Duke might be a very timid boy but he has never shown any aggression besides trying to avoid & run away when approached.
We are looking for someone that has a lot of time & patience to foster to adopt Duke. A tranquil & peaceful home with a secure backyard is an ideal home for him.
Are you that special person that we are looking for Duke?
