About Fenton
Fenton is a confident and sweet boy, loves a smooch and will flop beside you wanting pats and scratches while he makes biccies. He doesn't mind being picked up and held for a little cuddle either. He is very much a people cat and will always be somewhere in the room nearby us, snoozing in the corner of the couch on a dining chair or his favourite places on top of the scratching tower and is usually at our feet in bed of a night time.
He's a tidy and polite boy who will sometimes sit while you prepare his food which he is very enthusiastic about.
He has been exceptionally gentle and tolerable making friends with our 1 year old and slowly warmed up to our 2 resident canines that he is happy to be able to see outside from the window away from his space.
Fenton does enjoy having a decent amount of space to roam around although he can get a bit close to open doors and I sense he would take the opportunity to explore if he was able to. He enjoys playing with any toy attached on a string and will have a little play with a ball along the floor he also dabbles in "zoomies" from time to time!
Notes from his foster carer:
- He is a bigger boy so I have found a larger storage tub litter tray suits him better. He also has toileted inappropriately only a couple of times one time being after his overnight vet visit (stress related i believe) other 2 times im not sure why he has just chosen to go away from his litter. I have since set him up with 2 larger litter trays to avoid this becoming a habit but I understand it could also be related to his kidney issues.
- He has had a sensitivity to beef and therefore only been eating fish or chicken flavoured foods since
- He started out only clawing on carpet, he does use his tower a little now and I've tired encouraging this with toys and play but I feel he is more likely to scratch carpet
Medical Notes
Fenton has dilute urine and on ultrasound (undertaken by veterinary imaging specialist) was found to have a chronic non-specific nephropathy ie. generalised abnormal kidneys the cause of which is unknown. He may be at higher risk of developing Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) over time or suffer an acute deterioration in kidney function.
Fenton has mild dental tartar and associated gum changes. This is very common in mature cats.
I am located with my foster family in Seville Grove.

Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
