About Mack
We're needing to find a new home for Mack again due to know fault of his own.
Mack turns 10 next month, but all things considered he's pretty fit for a Aussie Bulldog. Mack always loves a walk, but he's slowing down so they are more about sniffs than distance these days.
Mack's ideal adopter will be someone who is retired or works from home, who likes to take a regular walk but isn't in a rush or wanting to go too far. Without existing pets.
Mack's likes:
❤️ Very food motivated
❤️ Loves a walk almost as much as food
❤️ Will sit and wait for a release command for food and walks
❤️ Loves sleeping on the couch
❤️ He loves a car ride
❤️ He loves a swim at a beach, or really any body of water
❤️ He loves a consistent routine
❤️ His toy bear
❤️ He loves when you get home and will greet you at the door with a wagging tail
❤️ Did I mention food?
Characteristics:
🐶 Mack's a companion dog - he loves being near people when they're home
🐶 Walks well on the lead
🐶 Toilet trained
🐶 Can be left for extended periods of time
🐶 Doesn't chew anything that isn't his bear
🐶 Great in the car
Mack's dislikes:
❌ Dogs (he's dog reactive)
❌ Cats (not as bad as dogs, but would need to be tested to see if he gets along with a cat)
Full transparency on Mack's health:
⛑️ He's recently had a mast cell tumor removed. The vet has said it was a successful removal and there is no sign of it having spread and the scar is healing exceptionally well.
⛑️ He's got a bit of spinal compression that is impacting his rear legs - that's managed by daily liquid anti-inflammatory medication which he takes really well.
⛑️ All vet records (including scans on his spine from last year) can be provided from his current vet.
Mack is available to a suitable home in the Melbourne / Geelong / Mornington areas. Please submit an application if you would like to adopt Mack.

Applicants will be assessed in terms of best suitability for the dog. A meet & greet and yard inspection are essential parts of the screening process.
The first 2 weeks for every adoption is a trial period to ensure that both the dog and family are a good match. And once everyone is happy the dog's microchip will be changed across to the new family.
