About Basti
Hi everyone. My name is Basti and I am a gentle-natured cat who would love to find a home to help me continue grow the confidence I've gained since living with my foster mum and dad. My foster parents keep telling me how I have the softest fur and I must admit, I'm pretty proud of my silky locks.
I absolutely LOVE getting pats and will let you know as I purr and roll around on the floor to show my belly - I just can't help myself. If you stop too soon, I will give your hand a little head bump to let you know that you can resume your patting services. While we're on the topic of pats and purrs, I should let you know, I'm happiest when lying next to you rather than being on your lap.
I like to relax during the day, spending time in my safe place, and become more active and playful as the evening progresses. Speaking of active, I really love to pounce on, and chase my ping pong balls around the room. I also love playing with my interactive mouse toy, and my foster parents don't seem to mind the squeaks of my prey in the early morning. My other hobbies include being the king of the cat tower and chilling in my pet cave. My foster parents have also introduced me to wand toys. I still don't know what to make of these pesky buggers, and even though I'm starting to try and catch them with my paw as they move past me, I'm a bit unsure of them.
Some of my unique characteristics include jumping up the windowsill to say goodbye to my foster parents when they go off to work, and did I mention that I'm a multitasker who can simultaneously get a burst of zoomies while at the same time complete some feng shui by rearranging my cat beds. Now that's talent!
Even though I have become more confident living with my foster parents, I need to continue to build on this. I am still quite scared and will need patient owners who will give me time to settle in, feel safe and grow in confidence, before I show you my affectionate and playful side. I tend to get startled by loud noises and sudden movements also, so I think a quiet home would be best. Could that home be yours?
Medical Notes
Basti is suspected of having a condition called Juvenile Gingivitis. Many cats will grow out of this issue before approximately 2 years of age, however some will have the condition for life.
I am located with my foster family in Como.

Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
