About Denver - Kelpie Dingo Mix
Hi my name is Denver I'm a cheeky, smart, active pup looking for a place to call home. I'm a dingo kelpie mix.
I like to take the lead and go for adventures when I'm playing with other dogs and dingoes- I’m the biggest and most boisterous. I love running and playing and I'm very smart and love learning tricks. Are you my fur-ever family?
Looking for a cuddly companion with abounding energy, intelligence and a loyal nature? Look no further than pawsome pup Denver!
Denver is good with people, and loves to run and play. He will be 18-20kg when fully grown, he would love a home with a doggy or dingo friend of a similar size or bigger to play with (no dogs under 10kg).
He is a very energetic pup and can be boisterous and rough when he plays. For this reason, he needs a home without kids or with kids over 5 only. He loves tug toys, squeaky toys and treat balls. Because of his breeds (dingo and kelpie) an energetic home with lots of mental stimulation and enrichment (toys and puzzles!) is a must.
Denver is learning toilet training, he sleeps indoors at his foster home. He walks well on lead and is good in the car, but will need more practice with his new family. Denver also knows how to sit. He is very intelligent, food motivated and eager to learn- he would love to go to puppy school with his new family!
Being a dingo mix Denver is not suitable to let off leash except in a securely fenced area and he is unlikely to ever learn 100% reliable recall (come when called) off the leash. Why not try a long lead or a fenced park instead?
Denver is not suitable to live with cats, pocket pets, birds or live stock due to prey drive.
Fencing requirements:
Denver is a kelpie dingo mix. He needs secure 1.8m fencing in his new home. Ideally this fencing will be made of palings, bricks or Colourbond so it is not climbable. Denver needs a home with a backyard and is not suitable for an apartment.
Distance is not an issue when we are looking for the perfect homes for our dingoes. Denver can be rehomed in VIC, ACT, or NSW. We are happy to travel to you for adoption meet-and-greets.
Adoption details
Please note at this time pending legal advice we are unable to offer fox kit adoption to private owners.
Dingo Adoption:
1. Send an email inquiry with your name and contact details outlining your current living situation, pets and family members and anything else you think might be relevant, particularly what your house and yard are like. Remember our dingoes typically require an enclosure or modified fencing.
2. We will email you back adoption information and an application form to fill out and return to us.
3. If your application is approved- Come along to meet us and our dingoes at our Goulburn shelter or their foster carers' home and let us find the right furry family member for you. We can also come to you. We are happy to meet new prospective owners anywhere in NSW or the ACT.
4. Before you can pick up your new dingo you will also need to under a house/yard check and pay your adoption fee. No animals are rehomed unless their adoption fee is paid in full and a yard check has been completed.
