About Oscar - Located in Richmond
Hey there, folks! Oscar here, and let me tell ya, I'm no grouch – not even close! I've got a heart of gold and a playful spirit that just won't quit.
Now, when it comes to toys, I'm not one to discriminate. Whether it's a shiny wand toy or a crumpled-up ball of paper, I'm all in! Seriously, throw anything my way, and I'll turn it into a game that'll keep us both entertained for hours.
But hey, I'm not just about playtime. I'm also a pretty helpful feline companion. Need someone to keep you company while you work from home? Consider me your personal assistant! I'll be right there by your side, offering my expert supervision and maybe even a few purr-fectly timed distractions.
And let's talk about housework. Changing the sheets? No problemo! I'll make that chore a breeze by lending a helping paw – or maybe just by adding a little extra fluff to the mix. And cooking? Count me in! I'm more than happy to lend my taste-testing expertise to any culinary endeavors.
Oh, and speaking of warmth, I've got you covered there too. When those winter chills start creeping in, just snuggle up with me, and we'll keep each other nice and toasty.
So, what do you say? Ready to add a little sunshine (and a whole lot of purrs) to your life? I'm here and ready to be your helpful, non-grouchy companion!

WORLDWIDE CAT VACCINE SHORTAGE
There is currently a worldwide shortage of cat vaccines and supplies are unlikely to be replenished until early 2024. This is due to complicated supply problems post-COVID. Our vets have limited, and in some cases no supplies available, but are prioritising kittens and previously unvaccinated Cats wherever possible.
Kittens are at the highest risk as their level of protection is very low after the initial protection provided by the mother’s antibodies. While protection will wane a little over time, a delay up to three months is unlikely to result in a significant reduction in levels of protection. It is anticipated that clinics should have regular supplies early in the new year to bring your cat back up to date.
First Vaccination completed
We will try to provide at least 1 vaccination, depending on our supplies of vaccines available, however boosters may become overdue. In this case it is your responsibility to contact your vet as soon as supplies become available. We will not be re-imbursing any of this costs.
We require all cats and kittens to be indoors only and not allowed outside. This is especially important now as there is a risk of coming into contact with unknown cats who may not be vaccinated.
No Vaccination completed
Where we are unable to provide any vaccination during their time in care with us, please contact us on 0459779888 or via email to samantha@neko.org.au, and we will arrange for one vaccination to be done at one of our partnering clinics as soon as supplies are available. Boosters after this will be your responsibility.
Please note that should you choose to utilise your own clinic, we will not be re-imbursing any costs. This is your responsibility.
