About Cupcake
Cupcake. For heavens sake, who calls a cat with my particular facial features Cupcake?
My foster mum (FM) calls me Scraggy Cat. This gets shortened to Scraggs or lengthened to Scraggalicious. All of which are acceptable. Now before we get too far, I don't want to waste either of our time, if you are looking for a 'nice pretty' cat, one who will sit on your lap whilst you are watching tv, stop now. I am not pretty. On a good day, my features could be described as darkly sinister, on a bad day my resting (female dog) face could curdle milk. Regardless or maybe because of this my FM adores me and knows that I deserve a permanent home with people who will love me just as I am.
I would do best in a quiet home, preferably one without young children. I have no issues with other cats as I am respectful of their boundaries (i currently live with 5 other cats).
I love sleeping on my FM's bed. This is one of my safe places and when I am scared or frightened I bury myself under the doona. I can spend hours and hours in there. Right, if you have read this far, you must be interested. Things about me that are positive. I love kisses. My FM kisses the top of my head and I will head but her back. I make biscuits and I purr a lot when I am being loved. My FM can pick me up and carry me around but you will need to work hard to earn that privilege. I love being stroked, ALL OVER MY BODY!!! Even my TUMMY. When I first moved in with my FM, she used to brush me (love being brushed) so that I would get used to being touched. You see I was found as a stray in the Perth Hills and CH doesn't know how much exposure I had with humans before this.
One thing you need to know is that I am an escape artist. I ran away from my first foster mum and so if you are thinking of adopting me, you need to make sure you have tough security screens. If people can't break into your house ... I won't be able to break out.
So now you have decided that you desperately want to meet me. Well hold your horses - we need to manage your expectations. I am going to be painfully shy. My FM spent a lot of time earning my trust and love and so you need to be aware that I am a work in progress. But the thing you should remember is, I am worth it.#catcompatible
Medical Notes
Cupcake has mild dental tartar and associated gum changes. This is very common in mature cats.
Cupcake has a waiver for a chipped tooth. Our veterinarians have carefully assessed this chip and no further treatment is currently required.
I am located with my foster family in Lesmurdie.

Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
