About Bracken - Located in Richmond
Well, well, well, lovely humans! The name's Braken, and let me tell ya, I don't "braken" for nobody – not even a good joke! Cue the laughter Yep, I've fully embraced the tortitude side of my nature, and let me tell ya, it's a wild ride!
You see, I'm not your average run-of-the-mill kitty. Oh no, I'm a master of high jinks and antics that'll keep you on your toes! From high-speed hallway chases that'll make your head spin to gravity-defying stunts on the cat tree, I'm all about living life on the edge – or should I say, on the shelf?
Sure, I enjoy romping around with my siblings, but let's be real here – I'm just as capable of entertaining myself. Give me a wand toy, and I'll show you a party like you've never seen before! I'll swat, pounce, and chase that thing until the cows come home – or until I get distracted by something shiny, whichever comes first!
And let's talk about feet, shall we? Oh, the allure of those wiggly, squiggly things! I just can't resist sitting on them, swatting them, and occasionally giving them a little nibble – but hey, it's all part of my charm, right?
So, dear humans, if you're ready for a charming and funny feline companion who's equal parts mischief and charm, look no further. I'm here, ready to whisk you away on a whirlwind of laughter and adventure. Just be sure to hold onto your socks – I have a feeling I'll be knocking them off with my purrsonality!

Medical notes
WORLDWIDE CAT VACCINE SHORTAGE
There is currently a worldwide shortage of cat vaccines and supplies are unlikely to be replenished until early 2024. This is due to complicated supply problems post-COVID. Our vets have limited, and in some cases no supplies available, but are prioritising kittens and previously unvaccinated Cats wherever possible.
Kittens are at the highest risk as their level of protection is very low after the initial protection provided by the mother’s antibodies. While protection will wane a little over time, a delay up to three months is unlikely to result in a significant reduction in levels of protection. It is anticipated that clinics should have regular supplies early in the new year to bring your cat back up to date.
First Vaccination completed
We will try to provide at least 1 vaccination, depending on our supplies of vaccines available, however boosters may become overdue. In this case it is your responsibility to contact your vet as soon as supplies become available. We will not be re-imbursing any of this costs.
We require all cats and kittens to be indoors only and not allowed outside. This is especially important now as there is a risk of coming into contact with unknown cats who may not be vaccinated.
No Vaccination completed
Where we are unable to provide any vaccination during their time in care with us, please contact us on 0459779888 or via email to samantha@neko.org.au, and we will arrange for one vaccination to be done at one of our partnering clinics as soon as supplies are available. Boosters after this will be your responsibility.
Please note that should you choose to utilise your own clinic, we will not be re-imbursing any costs. This is your responsibility.
