About Leo
PROFILE AND NEEDS IN A HOME
Introducing Leo, a beautiful and exceptional Kelpie mix with soft velvety short fur and lovely long gangly legs. We believe Leo will be around 20-22kg, when fully grown.
He's already making a mark with his charming personality.
Currently residing in a foster home with other dogs of varying sizes, Leo is gaining invaluable experience with socialisation and training alongside a pack of other dogs.
Leo's appearance reflects his nature: beautiful, engaging, and wonderfully affectionate. Not only does he adore people and other canines, but Leo also enjoys nothing more than a good cuddle with his loved ones.
Like all of our dogs, Leo must have access inside at all times, sleep inside in a cosy area of a night and be permitted to cuddle on the couch from time to time.
As a Kelpie mix, he has a high energy level, and is best suited to a home where he can stretch his legs on daily walks to parks, beaches, or lakes. He also thrives on mentally stimulating activities that satisfy his intelligent mind.
The ideal family for Leo would be committed to using only force-free reward-based methods for his ongoing training and providing daily mental stimulation. This is to ensure that our little star continues to develop into the amazing and well-adjusted canine citizen we know he is destined to become.
Leo would prefer a home with another young, medium/large, friendly, playful well-adjusted dog as he loves embarking on romping, playing, and learning adventures with them.
In the absence of a canine friend in his new home, Leo may adjust, provided he isn't left alone for long periods and continues his daily socialisation and interactive play with other dogs.
Leo's intellectual curiosity and eagerness to please suggest he would excel at agility training when he's older or perhaps nose works that he can start now.
He has interacted with children of various ages, so would be suited to a home with older, kind and respectful children, provided they the family has time for his continuing training, socialisation and daily exercise.
In essence, Leo is an adorable cuddly pup on track to become an exceptional canine citizen. He is looking forward to joining a family that will fully commit to his growth, education, and happiness.
If you would like to meet the gorgeous Leo please send us some detail on yourself and the home you are able to provide including your dog and any other pets (if any), family members, lifestyle, exercise and mental stimulation you will provide, how often Leo would be alone, where he will have access in the home, where Leo would go if you went away and could not take him with you, ability to cover vet expenses and any other information you wish to provide.
Medical notes
The adoption fee includes vet checks, microchip, vaccinations and desexing. Leo is too young to be desexed at this time and his new owner must be able to return him to our vet in Beverly Hills Sydney for his desexing.
