About Skylar
Meet our sweet, stunning and a little bit sassy Skylar. Pure delight this girl turning heads wherever she goes.
After being found less than 24 hours old on a nature strip, she has endured many challenges but is now more than ready to find somewhere to call her forever.
Skylar is well socialized with dogs, cats and even horses.
She loves making new friends but in true staffy style, Skylar is a people dog.
She would absolutely love being a spoilt only child. She would love to got to work with a tradie, be an office dog or would be happy catching rays in the back yard while her family worked to provide her nothing short of the best.
All the hard work is done with this girl. Skylar has graduated puppy school.
She is confident, walks well on lead, sits and drops. She is crate trained sleeping all night without a peep. she is toilet trained but will need to get used to her new environment. She loves a rides in the car and is happy just chilling on the back seat. Skylar doesn't jump, she is super loyal and would just about follow you anywhere you wanted to go. Skylar is great with kids and would have no problems living in a home with children 7 and older.
Skylar is a really well behaved puppy and mature well beyond her weeks.
She is a lazy little love. Enjoys a short walk, playing with her toys, merely existing in your presence and being involved.
If Skylar was to live with another dog, she is looking for a goofy, happy go lucky, relatively sensible male dog. She has strong presence and can be sassy & bossy. (please note - Skylar will not be homed with another female dog)
Skylar's breed is unknown we believe she is a staffy/ mix and will mature around am staff size 25-30kg. She is very thick/stocky.
Skylar is looking for a loving home with bull breed experience. She is an absolute pleasure to have around and will be dearly missed by her foster carer.
Skylar is ready and waiting, if interested in meeting her please send a brief description of the home you can provide and we will send you an adoption application form.
She is available for meet and greets in whittlesea.
Extra videos and photos can be found on our facebook page.
Medical notes
Skylar is desexed
vaccinated to date (2 x puppy vaccs)
microchipped
intestinal wormed
heartwormed
flea, mange, mite & tick prevented
Skylar has had a vulvaplasty procedure done (photos can be found on our facebook page) Essentially the hooded/ extra skin above her vulva has been removed to eliminate her urine pooling in her skin folds. This procedure has been completely successful with no concerns.
Skylar is a typical sensitive staffy. She has sensitive skin and will need a home aware that allergies are managed not cured. This is something to consider befor applying. Medications, creams and potential dietary requirements may be needed. There is nothing worst than being itchy, she requires a home that can afford her vet treatment when she needs it.
Skylar has a small hystiocytoma (benign - non cancerous skin lump on her chest). These are common in young dogs and will resolve in a couple of months requiring no treatment.
Adoption details
Our adoption process has 5 stages -
#1 A brief description of your home-
We ask that you send an inquiry with a brief description of the home that you can provide and why you think your home is suitable for the animal you are inquiring about.
Please note: if you do not send a brief description of the home that you can provide, or if your home is not what is suited based on the pets profile we will not continue with the adoption process
#2 Some questions-
You will receive an adoption application form within 24 -48 hours of your inquiry being sent
#3 Photo's of your yard - Applicable for dogs only -
Please provide photos of your yard including sheltered area from sun and rain
#4 Meet & greet - With other dog/s if you have any -
You will receive an email within 72 hours of sending your application in which we will let you know if your application has been successful. We will then organise a meet and greet.
Please keep in mind our rescue team is small. We work full time and have families and pets of our own. Sometimes emails are missed and some animals have over 50+ enquiries. We try our best to get back to everyone as soon as we can.
Our profiles are written with as much information regarding our animals, if you send an enquiry that does not meet the requirements of the particular animal, we may not reply. We ask you to carefully read profiles in full and the requirements for our animals and their new homes.
*PLEASE NOTE*: Not all applications are successful. We aim to match our animals to their perfect homes, sometimes there are many homes suitable but unfortunately only one animal.
Organized MEET AND GREETS do not guarantee the adoption of our of our animals. Eden Ark have the final say in the meet and greet process, If we feel our animal will not suit your family the trial period will not go ahead.
#5 A 7 day trial period -
If your meet is successful we ask that you have everything ready to take your new family member home that day. If this isn't possible, prior arrangement MUST be made - please understand we are not in a position to hold animals for you. Meet and greets are on Saturdays or unless prior arrangement has been made. Please note your meet and greet will be organised the first weekend available from an approved application, we try our best to accomodate but again we can not hold animals.
Adoption fee must be paid in cash on the day if your meet and greet is successful to start your 7 day trial period.
Once your 7 day trial period is complete,
Welcome to the Eden Ark Family!
